Found Art Moon Face

Looking for a gift for someone who doesn't like store-bought items or who loves the unusual? The found art moon face, the Man in the Moon, is recycled art made from the hood of a car. The steel moon sculpture or moon folk art is also a form of car art.

Note: This is not suitable of outside use. We will be coming up with a series for outside decorations by spring time. It has a clear coating.

There are a number of names for this kind of art. According to Wikipedia,

found object (French: objet trouvé) or readymade-describes art created from the undisguised, but often modified, use of objects that are not normally considered art, often because they already have a non-art function. Marcel Duchamp was the originator of this in the early 20th century.

Each moon will come with a signed letter of authenticity. As more and more people collect my decorative art, the value will increase. This is an investment art that you can use and when needs be, even sell. It is my hope, that even in my life time, the pieces I am selling now will sell for many times their purchase price.

If one of the other color designs is available, we may have a few more available before the end of the year. A white and a yellow crackle paint were the most popular colors.
